Birth Doula Services

I offer a free 1 hour consultation.  If we choose to work together, my services include:

  • 2 prenatal visits that normally last 1 1/2 - 2 hours each.
  • I will tour the labor and delivery department of the hospital where you will be giving birth, if I haven’t
    worked there before.
  • I will help you write down your birth preferences and I will provide resources and education to assist in
making decisions on what you prefer.
  • I will stay in contact by phone and as you due date approaches, on a weekly basis.  I will be available for
you to call me with questions or concerns before the birth - 9 AM to 9PM for non-emergency questions
and anytime for urgent matters.  After your birth I will take calls 24 hours a day for the first week to
    address any immediate concerns.
  • I will be with you, supporting you throughout your labor and birth, starting from when you feel that I am
needed until 1 to 2 hours postpartum.
  • I will help to ease labor through non-pharmacological measures, such as massage, pain-relieving body
positioning, and mental and physical relaxation and coping/concentration techniques.
  • After the birth I will help you breast feed your new baby for the first time (if needed) and answer any
    questions.
  • 1postpartum visit at the hospital or in your home within a few days after the birth to review your birth,
answer questions and provide breastfeeding support.  I will give you copies of all documents and notes
I took during the birth.  We will discuss your newborn and newborn care and I will answer any questions
    you may have.

My birth Doula fee is $
700.00.  I accept $350.00 as a retainer fee.  The balance is due by the birth.  I prefer to
have a check at the last prenatal visit that I will hold until the birth.  This eliminates having to think about
payment at the birth.

Other services for added fees:

Childbirth Education Classes (private or group)
Additional prenatal and/or postpartum visits
Breastfeeding support
Accompaniment to midwife/doctor's visits
